A Message from the Mayor
On behalf of the Council and the residents of the District of Chetwynd, I invite you to come and experience all that our community has to offer.
Chetwynd has many of the services of a large center with all the desirable qualities of small town living. In 2010, our Recreation Centre and Leisure Pool became one facility. In addition to the large banquet halls, meeting rooms, six-sheet curling rink and hockey arena, a waterslide, climbing wall, fitness room, walking/running track, squash and racquetball courts were added to the complex. The pool facility also has a beach area, four 25-metre swimming lanes, wave machine, large hot tub and a dry sauna. This number-one facility hosts every amenity wished for by our residents and visitors!
Take a tour of the chainsaw sculptures, enjoy our parks, playgrounds and hiking trails or visit the library, schools, college or one of the many businesses that are also located in our town.
We invite you to come and visit or live in the most livable small community located at gateway to the Peace and see all that this beautiful part of British Columbia has to offer.
