TRX

TRX is a coed suspension training, body weight exercise done on specifically designed training harness (straps). The TRX training workout builds strength, flexibility and endurance while burning calories and strengthening your core. TRX Suspension Training Harnesses the way your body naturally moves improving performance in daily activities, recreation and sports. Adaptable for all fitness levels.

ZUMBA

Latin dance exercise for all levels and abilities.

Join ECE Instructor Diane Gorner in this parent participated active program for children 5 years of age and younger. This program is movement based allowing parent and child to be physically active through play together. Although the program is designed to encourage movement there will be other age appropriate activities in a more relaxing atmosphere. A nutritious snack will be provided ­ anyone with food allergies please inform us at time of registration.

 

Drop-In Mommy & Me Climb

This is a great opportunity to spread those wings – try something new ¡­ just do it!  We will introduce your toddler to the climbing wall by letting them boulder at very low levels (with no harness) around the wall and then one at a time the moms can harness up and experience the wall in a safe, no pressure environment.  As the little ones advance they will also be able to put on our toddler harness and continue their climbing experience.  It is a lot of fun and a great workout.  Additional toys, activities and coffee will be available for those needing a break from the climbing wall.

Move & Groove

This class is designed for 3 – 4 year olds to explore movement and music.  Students will work on flexibility and coordination in a fun environment.  Ultimately, students will work on a piece for the year end recital.  Maximum 10 students

This class is Jazz fundamentals.  Students will focus on core strength, flexibility and rhythm working their way towards a choreographed number for the year end recital.

Jazz fundamentals with an introduction into Hip Hop.  Focus will be on strength, flexibility and rhythm while learning core Jazz and Hip Hop steps.  Students will work their way towards a choreographed number for the year end recital.

Climbing & Court Club

  • 6 – 8 yr olds

Join the after school  climbing / court club and learn climbing technique, knot tying, belaying basics, route selection as well as the basics of racquet ball, squash, wallyball and indoor soccer.  This is a great opportunity for kids who have the want to improve on their climbing abilities, try new sports and make new friends while keeping in shape. 6 – 8 yrs

Noon Fit Classes

Teen – Adult

Noon Fit classes are a great way to be active during your lunch hour.  Our classes are 40min in length to allow time for travel to and from your class.

Cycle Fit

  • Teen – Adult

Cycle Fit is a Co-ed group exercise done on a specially designed bike.  This class is designed for beginner to advanced riders due to the fact that each rider controls his/her own intensity on the bike.  Cycle class includes warm – up, ride, cool – down and stretch.  Cycle fit classes are monthly enrollment unless advertised as a drop – in class.

Squash / Racquetball Court

Our court provides you with a moveable wall which allows for both squash and racquetball.  A private dressing room, shower and washroom are available for court users.  Court must be booked and pre – paid at the Rec Desk.

  • No-shows will be charged for their time booked. Clean indoor shoes must be worn.
  • Equipment rental is available at the Rec desk.
  • $10.50 + hst for 1hr
  • Save 10% by purchasing a 10 visit punch – card or save 15% when purchasing a 20 visit punch – card.
  • First booking time 6:30am and last booking time 8:30pm

Hatha / Beginner Yoga

  • Teen – Adult

  • Tuesday/Thursday 6:45-7:45pm

Corea will lead her participants through a series of gentle asana.  The focus of this class will be relaxation, flexibility and increasing range of motion.  Yoga is a form of non – competitive exercise that anyone at any age, shape or physical ability will benefit from.

 

 

Climbing Wall

Our climbing wall provides opportunities for beginner to advanced climbers.  We have public climbing hours where we provide a wall attendant to assist you in your climb and give you information on the different routes.  If you are an experienced climber you can book a time to take the belay test and rent the wall during office hours.
