A Message from the Mayor
On behalf of the Council of the District of Chetwynd and the citizens of the community, I invite you to experience the gateway to the Peace.
Chetwynd is a great place to live. It has many of the amenities of a large centre combined with all the desirable attributes of small town living. We offer a first rate Leisure Facility that caters to young and old alike. It consists of a pool with a beach area, four 25 metre lanes and a wave machine. In addition a whirl pool, sauna and a weight room are also located in the facility. Our Recreation Centre boasts a six sheet curling rink and hockey arena as well as large halls that are available for big community gatherings and social functions.
Northern Lights College (an extension of the University of Northern BC), a library, schools, parks and hiking trails can also be found within our boundaries.
We invite you to visit this beautiful part of British Columbia and participate in all that Chetwynd has to offer.
