I will cherish the day when we can gather and enjoy a handshake, an embrace, sing and dance together, and once more express our friendship and love for one another face to face with a heartfelt hug.
2020 has been a year of uncertainty and we all made enormous sacrifices. It has been painfully hard for some, not being able to hug & hold close family members, so that we may protect them and ourselves from the mortal enemy Covid-19.
However with the dawn of a New Year and the emergence of vaccine/vaccines, this coming year is showing promise. Being optimistic that we might be getting back to some kinda normal is a welcome thought, maybe a real, real, real awesome thought.
I would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and the technicians for their perseverance in this crisis; a standing ovation goes out to every one of you.
And please let us not forget the unheralded work of all the people upon whom we rely on to bring us the staples of life, those who quietly go about their daily task without fanfare or acknowledgement, such as the transportation division of our society, the ones that bring us the means of survival (food, petroleum etc.). Thanks also to our post office workers who were invaluable during Christmas, even though I didn`t receive all that I had ordered on time, but forgiveness is mine to give! Thank you for your diligence, for your hard work; here is a virtual hug, a face time kiss.
Take care, wash your hands and wear your MASK.
Yours truly,
Mayor Allen Courtoreille
