Located on the Recreation Centre Property a new Skateboard & BMX Park opened officially September 13, 2010. Working in co-operation with the District of Chetwynd and the Chetwynd Youth Committee, the $450,000 Park received $150,000 in funding from the federal government and over $27,000 from the youth in the community alone. The Park is 10,000 sq ft and features elements such as pyramid, stairs, rails and lots of concrete ideal for BMX riders and skateboarders. The park is officially named the Chetwynd BMX and Skateboard Park with subheading “Ride your Hearts Out”
