Indoor Playground

The Indoor Playground at the Chetwynd & District Rec Centre is open during regular facility hours and provides a safe, fun environment for children to play.

Availability

  • Open during regular facility hours
  • Closed during Public Climbing times
  • Closed Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00–5:00 PM for scheduled cleaning
  • May be closed during birthday parties or private rentals

Rules & Guidelines

  • Maximum capacity: 15 children
  • For children 12 years of age and under
  • Adult supervision is required at all times
  • No shoes, food, or drinks permitted in the Indoor Playground or Climbing Wall area
  • A waiver must be signed for each participant and is kept on file for one year
  • The Indoor Playground is free to the public

Climbing Wall

The Climbing Wall is available for drop-in use during public climbing times, with a staff member present to belay at a ratio of up to four (4) participants per staff member, as well as for private birthday parties and rentals. All participants must follow established safety rules and procedures at all times.

Climbing gear is provided during public climbing sessions and birthday party bookings.

Requirements

  • A signed waiver is required
  • Participants may provide a current, up-to-date belay ticket, where applicable

Drop-In

  • Public Wall Climb: $5.75

Private Wall Rental – Per Hour

  • No Staff: $14.00
  • 1 Staff Member: $42.04
  • 2 Staff Members: $70.15

Parties & Private Rentals

Private bookings are available for:

  • Combination playground and climbing experiences
