Burning Permits

Residents in the community of Chetwynd are reminded that burning permits are required for any brush or grass burning.   Permits will not be issued on weekends.

You do not need to have a permit for a contained cooking/camp  fire within the municipality.  Ensure you have a contained fire less than .5 meters in height and .5 meters in diameter with a metal or concrete barrier.   Also keep a water source near the fire.

In the event of a fire, please call 911 and know your civic/911 address.
