Accepted Materials List – with drop off only items highlighted
Currently the Recycling Depot is not accepting oil/antifreeze containers or liquids but we have included a list of companies that do (if you know of any other companies that are not on the list please let us know and we will add them).
Some items not included in the list that the Recycling Depot does accept are:
Household batteries up to 12v
Car batteries for drop off
Small appliances- microwaves, lamps, vacuum cleaners, fans, hair dryers etc. for drop off preferably
Electronics- Printers, cell and household phones, fax machine, computer towers monitors and accessories, televisions drop off only
Household paint and spray paint up to 2 gallons- industrial paint has to go to landfill
Light bulbs including fluorescent tubes
Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms
Items the Recycling Depot does NOT accept are: (not an extensive list)
Stoves, fridges, freezers, water coolers
Oil or antifreeze liquids or containers
Styrofoam
Clothing, beds, couches, bedding etc.
Female hygiene products, diapers, toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towel, condoms etc.
Food waste including compost
Yard waste including compost
Un-rinsed food containers such as peanut butter jars, salsa containers, pasta containers etc.
